I know I know, it sounds really easy BUT what you have to know is that it was late in the game, the Yankees were losing buy a mile and so we were drunk… REALLY drunk! My friend had just come back with another tray of beers. He’s about to hand me my beer when a ball comes flying in and smashes right into the tray. Beer goes everywhere covering all of us and some poor people nearby! We were so drunk we laughed… A bit too much actually. After a short while, we were sat back down and some said “Where the hell did the ball go?” We all looked around but couldn’t see it anywhere then, a young girl sitting behind us (now covered in beer) said “check your hoodie!”. Would you believe, there it was, in my hood AND remarkably, it was dry! Hope this counts!

I’m very lucky that I have a best friend with quite a lot of money. I’m also very lucky that he’s a bit mental and likes to go fast!! Because of this, he has a Mercedes AMG GT. He called me one morning and said “This weekend, we’re heading to Germany!” I don’t argue when he says things like this because it normally ends very well!! Anyway, Saturday morning we head out and by the evening we’re in a nice little hotel in the middle of Germany. My friend says “We’re up early tomorrow so no drinking!” I was in shock. We got up, got in the car and found a nice straight piece of the Autobahn. I was amazed at how quickly we hit 190mph… WOW! We tried to hit 200 but just couldn’t get there. Next time! As long as I’m not paying for the petrol!

I’ve always wanted to visit Singapore and go to The Raffles Hotel but never had the chance. Then, my company sends me to Sydney to do some training. I was so excited just to fly THROUGH Singapore. We were approaching the airport and I was transfixed by the city below, trying my hardest to see Raffles Hotel! Obviously I had no idea what I was looking for. We had to change planes and had a 2 hour wait. When we got off the plane we were informed by the airline that there was an issue and our connecting flight and a 24 hour delay. This being the late 80’s, the airline actually put us in a decent hotel for the night. Not the Raffles but close enough. I literally dropped my bag in the hotel and ran downstairs to jump in a taxi. I ran upstairs in the beautiful Raffle Hotel and straight into the Long Bar. I ordered a Singapore Sling and the barman looked at me in a very perplexed way. He said “I can’t do that!” I laughed and said “Why, are you out of ‘Slings’?” He smiled and said “No, it’s 8:30 in the morning!”

OK so it’s late on a Saturday and I’m walking home. Well when I say walking, I mean staggering. I’ve just been at a fancy dress party where I was dressed as Michael Myers from Halloween. I had really gone to town and covered my white t-shirt in blood from the butcher and torn up my clothes carrying a plastic knife. At this late stage the mask had fallen off BUT I was still staying true to character and hanging onto that blood soaked plastic dagger! Just then, 3 Police cars, lights flashing and sirens screaming go flying past me and I think ‘oooops, someone’s in trouble!’. Suddenly they all screech to a halt, spin round in the road, scream my way and end up a foot in front of me! Turns out, it was ME who was in trouble! I was ‘disarmed’ and bundled into the back of a car. Long story short, all charges were dropped when they realised I was just a drunken idiot in a costume! This was the 90’s so no legal action was taken, we just all had a good laugh about it and I got an awesome story to tell!

I’m from Canada but I was visiting my friend in London. We decided to treat ourselves to a nice meal in Soho at a place called the Groucho Club. He’s a member! He told me we might see some famous people but I wasn’t prepared for what happened. Just so you know, I’m a HUGE James Bond fan. So We get seated at our table and start to order our food when I see approaching our table (well actually the next table) Pierce Brosnan! I could barely finish ordering. About half way through the meal, he got up from his table. I don’t know what came over me but I got up and ran after him. I stopped him and blurted out some utter nonsense. I was so embarrassed he just stood there, smiled and gave me a kiss. What a lovely guy! I can die happy now… Although, if Daniel Craig is in town I could hang on!!!
